This is an updated accordion style bypass cooling hose with the two metal hose clamps that goes in between the cylinder head and water pump on BMC A-series engines. The advantage of the accordion style hose is that you do not need to remove the cylinder head when you need to change the water pump. This hose is able to compress upwards to remove the water pump, unlike the original straight hose that is not flexible and the cylinder head must be removed.
